hey new here

Hello,
Have been living on and off boats in Asai for 20 years and now want t buy a yacht/ motor boat in the pacific, seeking an expeirneced sailor/ partner who can teach me the ropes better, can afford to buy and moor baot and pay for the instructions.. wokr as an anthroplogist in Asia and speak a few languages , originally form NZ, any recommendations on how and where to buy . often in Suva working ? cheers E

Auckland, then sail it up. Or Townsville/cairns and head east. I think your choice is going to be somewhat limited in fiji. Though yachtworld occasionally has boats for sail in Tahiti. I guess it depens how much sailing you want to do.

then again. I have no idea on your budget, but there is a medico group here looking for a boat and most likely have paid skippers that could teach you to sail. They are doing volunteer work in the pacific which 'may' compliment your work as an anthropologist. Have a read of this thread. http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...ml#post1097469
