Hello! Our First Post

We just happened across Cruisers Forum today for the first time, and what a great find it is! I can hardly wait to get into it.

We're from Chicago and have a Hans Christian Christina 43, which is the more modern underbody version of Hans Christians, but still the classic look and feel.

I have been sailing most of my adult life, and Lola has been for about 5 years only. But this will be our first year of cruising, so finding this site has come at a really good time.

We'll be bringing it to Chicago from the Chesapeake (via the Erie Canal) this summer, and will cruise the Great Lakes.

We're looking forward to chatting with or meeting lots of new friends here!

Well I can tell you officially - you made it and you really are here! We have quite a few Great Lakes sailors here too. I'm sure you can find all sorts of useful things here already or ask for new stuff. We make a little bit every day.

Aloha Jack and Lola,
Welcome aboard! Good to have you here. Your boat is definitely one of my favorites and I do like the smaller version. Hope you enjoy the cruise through the Erie Canal. Where will you access the canal?
I still want to do that some day.
Kind Regards,
JohnL

Jack & Lola........
You found what is, in my opinion, the BEST Cruisers site.......
You won't find any more experienced or more intelligent (maybe a couple of exceptions..hehe) sailors, anywhere..... it's loads of fun..........

I've learned a lot here, as you will!
Welcome!
