Hello from Wisconsin

Hi
Really happy to have found this site. Been sailing the great lakes for 5 summers and would like to become a "snowbird"! Thinking of cheating and having the boat trucked rather than deal with the ICW etc. Also hoping to find others who are only semi-retired and must leave their boat unattended for periods of time, and wondering how they manage.
Welcome all ideas and comments on good marinas, storage, and transport to Florida!
Hope maybe someday I might have information that could help anybody else (learn from my myriad of mistakes...).
Warm breezes!
Karen

Welcome.
Let me know if you need some help recommissioning the boat in FL.

I can get you the numbers of a couple of reputable boat haulers when I get to the shop tomorrow if you like.

G'Day Karen and welcome to the site.

Hope you enjoy the trip south and do not doubt you'll get the help and advice needed from other (closer) members.

Cheers
JOHN

We're across the bay in Menominee...off the beaten track but a little gem of a spot. Definitely worth crossing the bay from Door Co.!
