Hello from the West coast of Mexico

HI,
I have a small trawler now located in Puerto Vallarta. I plan to drift up and down the coast basing the boat in various marinas for periods of 6 to 12 months and "clover leafing" around that location before moving to the next.
I am retired in Tucson AZ, have cruised a fair amount both on various sailboats & on Trawlers ; my last run was a 6 year stint from San Francisco to Turkey and back to Florida. It was fabulous except for a few times..
I now plan to be on this boat 2 to 3 weeks at a time every 2 to 4 months.

Any updated info you have on Ixtapa marina (or Barra Navidad) would be welcomed as I plan to base the boat there soon.
See you at sea,
Frank

Barra lagoon is great, no bugs. Marina pool is cold, water slide is slippery!

Re: Hello from the West coast of Mexico

Thanks,
do you know if there are services available when I’m not there such as a diver to clean the hull ever so often, someone to clean the topsides , maybe a mechanic to help in the engine room... security..
and how do you get to and from Barra Navidad to the airport? It seems far and not obvious to reach the resort from the airport.

I have not used them, but yes in Barra there are services available.

Which airport? Taxi’s and there is a worker at the marina that will give rides to Manzanillo or PV. I’ve been told for about half the price of a taxi, but I have not used him......yet, but maybe next month!
