Hello From The SF Bay

Am I doing this right? I've capitalized my title

I've lurked here and there over the last couple of years when an appropriate response came up in google and thought I'd finally join. I fell in love a few minutes later after clicking around! I'm a single female hopeful solo cruiser with two dogs. There are lots of cruising dog owners here and lots of single female liveaboards or cruisers here too! Wow, one stop shopping! I couldn't be more thrilled.

I'm currently doing as much research as I can and hope to buy a bigger and better boat by the end of next year. There's a lot of great information here and I look forward to chatting with you all!

Fair winds!

Hey, welcome, from one female, single sailor to another. Are you in the Berkeley marina? I'm thinking of moving there or Emeryville soon. What do you think?

Definitely go Berkeley! Emeryville is a bit sketchy, I've heard that from pretty much anyone when it's brought up. Where are you moving from?

Yup...unless you know the owners at Emeryville, it can be difficult to liveaboard there anyways. Plus some of the liveaboards there tend to be a little on the trollie side. I was at Alameda Marina while I refitted the boat for this adventure. It's a little run down but Svendsens boat works is right there. It's much sunnier than Berkeley and the town itself is a lot of fun.

Sassy,
Welcome to the forum! My boat is just South of you in Alameda. I took Celestialsailor's place after he left. But I'm still in Seattle with the house in escrow, so I'll be heading down shortly.

We have a good knowledge base here and good management as well. Hope you enjoy the forum.
