Hello from Sin City

I'm 33 years old dreaming of my retirement life on a 55' Beneteau. Only 15 or so more years to go! 😂
For the last 4 years I've been taking sailing certification classes through Harbor Island Yacht Club and sailing for fun as much as possible in between. I live in Las Vegas so I venture out to San Diego and Long Beach California for ocean adventures.
I like to read the stories of living on a boat and disasters that can happen just so I'm more prepared, but I imagine it's like having kids...you're never fully prepared for everything. 😊
Every day is one step closer to relaxing on a beach in Cabo or drinking rum in the Caribbean; all while enjoying the warm salty air on my skin and hearing the break of the waves lull me to sleep. I've loved the water for as long as I can remember and cannot wait to enjoy it for the rest of my life with the love of my life.
Nice to meet everyone and I look forward to expanding my nautical knowledge by being a part of this forum!
