Re: Greetings from the Armpit of the Universe!

Aloha and welcome aboard!
I've been to much worse places so it is all very subjective. Congratulations on your purchase. I was impressed with the Columbia 28 I crewed aboard interisland a few years ago. Good safe performance in a neat package.
Ever been to Colon, Panama?
kind regards,

Well you might be in the armpit of the universe, but while I was living there I always thought of Los Angeles as the armpit of the West Coast.

Great to see the Padres sweep the Dodgers.

Re: Greetings from the Armpit of the Universe!

the Columbia 28 seemed to be well liked, and looked like a good boat to reacquire my sea legs and learn the sail part of boating, not to mention just big enough to live on! Plus it's been really well taken care of, and has everything.

What I REALLY wanted was a Cheoy Lee ketch, I saw an add for one and fell head over heels for it, buuuuttt, that's not something I want to deal with while in medschool ! too much Maintenance, plus learning on sloop rigging with less moving parts seemed a better idea. hahahaha. I'll have to wait for a bit for the dream boat

Try Alum Creek reservoir. It's not lake Erie, but we have some fun.

Too bad you didn't find Buckeye Lake, it's right near you. They even have a yacht club.

Re: Greetings from the Armpit of the Universe!

Been on Alum Creek, Hoover, Buckeye lake, every puddle within 90 miles of here, and honestly, they're puddles after spending 15 years on lake Huron and Superior and even some of the inland lakes in Mi. Not to mention, without a powerboat, you tend to get run over in the local places here

In other news, finals around the corner, then move to the bay ! As an aside, I do not recommend buying a boat right before finals.. it's making focusing on books REALLY hard ! hahahahaha !

Hope all is well with everyone !
