Good day to all

I am a new member to the group and I just wanted to check in with you. We have a Camper Nicholson 39' ketch named Pacem and we sail out of Rockland, Maine. As I am still employed, we mostly weekend sail with 3 weeks during the summer on the boat. Our usual area is the coast of Maine, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia but I has cruised and raced the Great Lakes, the east coast from Virginia north, south east Florida, the northern Bahamas, the Virgins, and Anguilla to Grenada. We usually sail as a family although as our two boys are now older teenagers they are doing things on there own rather than sail with the old man. But I still get them to sail a bit like last summer the younger did a transport with me from Virginia to Maine.

I have written some sailing stories for a New England boating magazine Points East, I am a moderator for the Camper Nicholson newsgroup, and as with most of the rest of you, I am always puttering and improving Pacem.

I will gladly contribute what I can to sailing threads but I am usually quiet unless I can contribute to in a meaningful way. My interests are navigation and boat systems including electronics.

Cheers

Aloha Ansley,
Welcome aboard!! Hope you enjoy the forum. I'm certain you'll have a lot to contribute. Don't be shy about asking questions either. There are a lot of folks with a great deal of knowledge who monitor the forum.
You have a great boat.
Kind Regards,
JohnL

Welcome. This is a very informative board for sailors of all experience levels. Best wishes and eat a lobster for me.
