Following Footsteps.

Greetings. I will keep this short and simple. My wife and I have decided to take our two kids (7-4) and go travel the world as their (and our) education. I have limited sailing abilities but have always been drawn to sailboats ever since I can remember. I never knew why until I was reunited with my father and that side of the family. My Mother left him when I was a baby and hid the truth from me until I was in my 20's. It turns out my Father was a liveaboard for 10 years, all of my uncles sailed as well as my Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Great-Great Grandfather etc. It was in my blood this whole time and I never knew. So I plan to compensate by selling everything and set sail. We have a date set. Three years from now. I plan on taking RYA courses and spend as much time as possible on the water before then. Thanks for having me and I'll try not to beat any dead horses.

Howdy and Welcome Aboard CF!

There is a lot to learn about what you propose to do, and CF is a good place to learn a lot.

Bon Voyage on the Forum and later on the waves.
