CaptRican's soul....

Hi to everyone,
Amazing! Life that is! Isn't? Our lives....

I am eccentric... I started in the sea...now i return to the sea....

It's been a long tiresome journey, the rat race that is...

I am from the sea and the forest; i grew up on the coast of Puerto Rico and the sea used to be my playground... instead i chose the forest of cement and smoke, pursued by the classical mess. I took all that peace and beauty for granted...foolish me.

I return to the sea, to be reborn and purified and cleansed so my spirit someday can be free....

Peace to all here
Merry Christmas to all! and Happy new years!

Re: CaptRican's soul....

Funny someone accused me, well more than one anyways, of being a romantic. I didn't know how to take it, but, it didn't feel good the way that sometimes, being able to penetrate the surface and go deep and feel is like made to feel as if it is not quite right? and that if you are like that something is not quite right in your frontal lobe.

Why is that?

The only people that get away with that are the actors, they can be romantics and that is acceptable. But, if the regular Joe shows a bit of romanticism, he is weird, and a danger to himself, a dreamer with no notion of reality, delusional, and in the throes of compulsiveness, a romantic. Why is that?

Romantics keep the feeling alive, the ideal on the top, we crave for the beauty, the expanse, that emotion of wanting to preserve that beautiful sunset for ever...the feel of...

If you are a romantic say something. When i used to spear dive i remember feeling as if i was in another dimension, weird ha.

I don't know, maybe i am a nut! I would rather be a sea nut! I would rather love than to want to hurt others.

Peace out Thank you for the welcoming, where is the Jack!

Re: CaptRican's soul....

FYI to all...I am not a Captain, I used that name because i thought that it was appropriate since i am from Puerto Rico and i want to get a Captain's license someday.

Not a Captain.

I am not a "senior cruiser" either, I did asked that it be change, but i have never cruise or sailed; but, i have been in other boats and i do have a jetski a Seadoo GTX that screams at 55mph. Anyone looking for a jetski, lol.

Anyways, no "senior cruiser" here either.

I am just a poor soul in search of himself...

peace out!

You're a CF supporter so you can change "Senior cruiser" to anything you want.

Go to User CP on the menu at the top of this page.
Click "Edit your details" on the left panel.
Scroll down to "Custom User Title" and put whatever you want in there

No, my dear Captain, we did not ...

We said you are romanticizing about life afloat in general and the beauty of dying at sea, doing what (you think you'll) love ...
Not the same thing

Hang on to that "Cap," it'll make you wildly popular in most anchorages.

He did say "someone", which might not be anyone on this thread or forum. "Someone" might mean the super market checkout person.

Sea Dreaming:
You're right, probably had nothing to do with the other thread going on at that time - my bad.

But, i am a romantic, i did felt that feeling that the word romantic was being employed like in the negative. You always start with the feeling, no feeling no start. I like beauty, we all have our own concept of beauty, we all internalize that concept differently even about death.

I guess you could say that there is an ugly way to die? Couldn't you? I know i have pretty ways in which i would like to die or live for that matter.

Like the story that i was told when i was a kid, of a sailor who had been good to a pack of dolphins, protected them, played with them, then his boat sunk, and he was in the water, as he floated he got tired and with nothing to hold on and fatigue he began to sink knowing that was it. Then all of a sudden he said that he felt something pushing him to the surface, it was a dolphin, his dolphins pushing him to the surface, the story says that he was able to survive. But even if i had to die like that i see it as much better than full of holes or creamed by some drunk driver and die upside down bleeding and choking on your own blood, like my brother died.

That story about the dolphins was told to me as a child by my grandmother, i do not know if it is true or not. But i have heard of other stories where dolphins and even some whales have been credited for saving human's lives.

I am kind of a psychosomatic type of individual, beauty, natural beauty, that feeling that you are living, witnessing, doing and being part of it is just the way i am.

Maybe i am a nut, who knows, all i know is that it pains me to see how we, some humans, are towards everything...

Peace out
