Cal29 Owner

Hello to All,

I am refitting a 1970 Cal29 -- Playmate -- with a new interior and new paint on the bottom, top sides and deck. After that, whatever it needs as things come up. My wife and I hope to cruise on her as soon as circumstances and finances allow, so if anyone has some insight into how to win the Florida Lotto please pass the next winning number along when you can.

I also have a San Juan SJ24 that I am parting out, along with many other sailboat parts from yet another boat that I salvaged a couple of years ago, so if you need something in good but not new condition drop me a note. I plan to post a complete list in the classifieds when it is ready.

This looks like a great sight that is full of useful resources and friendly and helpful members.

Hi Brad,

We are doing about the same, plus a bit more, to a '67 Cal 28 Flush deck! I'll have to send you a shopping list of the items we are looking for!

Welcome, we have found this group to be invaluable!

Aloha and Welcome aboard!
I find the Cals in that length to be pretty well put together boats. Did a pretty hard sail from Hilo to Kona and back through the Alenuihaha Channel on a Cal 2-30 and it made it just fine except a broken gooseneck working back up the channel.
regards,
