Boat trailer Needed for rent

I really need some help for my father I need to help him move his boat from san francisco marina to Antioch california.
It is a 45 mile drive as soon as possible it needs to be a 30 footer trailer.

Ivonne, it would help to know what kind of trailer you need, the ones for motor boats are different from the ones for sail boats, for starters. Also there are width limitations. Can you post a picture of the boat?

It is a 1988 Alura cruiser 30ft

Yvonne, you may have to call the Highway Dept. It seems to me the width limit used to be 8 feet in the bay area, but I moved away a long time ago, so the rules may be different now. Or, look on the web for the roads that would be traveled, for width restrictions.

You may require permits.

PS. You may also need to know the weight of the Alura, so as to rent a trailer with adequate load capacity and brakes. You could check U-Haul.
