Another Newbie Cruiser / Liveaboard

Greetings from the Inner Banks of North Carolina! We recently became full time live aboard cruisers. Sailing experience was on the Mississippi River on a Clipper Marine 26 and now have an Endeavour 32 that we are sailing on the Pamlico River area. Our dream is to cruise the East Coast and Caribbean.

Greetings and welcome aboard the CF, Elden & Susan .

Does “Soteria” have a significant meaning?

"Soteria" is Greek for deliverance, preservation, safety and salvation. Seemed appropriate for a sailing vessel.

Welcome to the forum. We are your neighbors twice a year, usually stopping at Oriental, little Washington, Belhaven and Elizabeth City.

Thank you for the warm welcome. We came aboard with two car loads of stuff and found out it was two car loads too many. We are still reorganizing and getting rid of "necessary" things!

Welcome

Hello and welcome,,

I'm also in your area and will keep an eye out for Soteria. Currently I'm in a boatyard near Beaufort where I'm doing an extensive refit on my boat, but I'll be living aboard in this area for at least part of the year in 2011 (I hope).

Do you guys plan to stay here year round or will you be cruising North/South with the seasons? I've seen some great marinas in this area but am always curious about other options and so feel free to share if you find any great spots for liveaboards here on the NC coast.
