The pictures show you the condition of the boat. They are reasonably in focus. They are neither so close up, nor so far away, that you can't see anything. They show you what you need to know to make a decision about following up on this boat. That's what I want from the pictures in a for sale advertisement.

Another one. It amazes me that someone would post this, and not take a second to look at the pictures and ask themselves, "will this help to sell the boat?"

I don't know. Maybe it IS the best. No rotted wood shown. If fact, I'd like to see more, through the fog she has nice lines.

Can't post a pic,but here is a gem on ebay. Actually some pretty honest photos. Edit: photos now added by the wonderful mod team.

The writing is on the wall in the first picture I guess . It always fascinates me what goes through peoples minds when the think they can sell this. Obviously some people like to start or take over a project and truly enjoy to work on a boat. But it seems to me some 'projects' have been neglected too long and got into a state that is beyong repair. They want to sell it, but determine the asking price based on what they have put in rather than what it is actually worth.

Actually, I think the price looks OK. Scrap merchants seem to pay ~$200/tonne in the area, which puts the scrap value at ~$900. If it has lead in the keel, the price would go way up. It only sold for $1,250, so that's pretty much scrap value.

An example of the type of photo that annoys the $#$$ outta me. C'mon people, if you want to sell your boat and don't have a decent camera, borrow one!

BTW this one is currently on sailboatlistings
