Lightbulb Back packing a boat
Isn't this the way you all carry your runabouts. The only problem here is that the truck is too small. Either that or it's a boat trying to mate with a truck. That's how you get those amphibious things.

I don't know what it says about the truck or the boat, but it speaks volumes about the structural integrity of the light pole!

They look a lot like the light houses we have on the southern Chesapaeke. These are clearly military. Our light houses have a cast iron cylinder base instead of the tripod bases. We have some that the house part is brick too.

They recently sold off a couple near here to private parties. I think a few went cheap but turning them into a habitable place isn't easy or cheap. Some are a few miles from land.

Wolf Trap Light

Wolftrap and Thimble Shoals were sold. The little structure to the right on Wolftrap is the out house. I sailed by it just last Sunday.

Hi guys! Occasionally drop by to stock up on the abundant words of wisdom here, not often found at altitude (i.e. aviation boards). These days a coupla seaplane forums occupy my spare time, but I still nurse my dream of sailing.

This monster-size lobster made my day!!!
