Weavis, are you going to dress up in a clown costume and scare everyone when they arrive, like last time?

re: The Mallorca Squad

Hello - My Girlfriend and I will be visiting Menorca next weekend (12th July) for a weeks holiday. This will be our first non sailing holiday in many years and I know its going to hurt looking at all the boats as a spectator and not skipper.

So I wondered if any of you would consider taking on some crew for a few days sailing? We're both proficient sailors and easy to get on with. Happy to pay costs and of course will provide copious amounts of beer etc..

Many thanks - ian

re: The Mallorca Squad

Kenomac and Mrs Kenomac, Praire Chicken and husband and I met up today and spent 4 plus hours enjoying each others company. We had a great time all round.

It is nice to meet really genuine and 'normal' people in this day and age, and i had the great pleasure of being part of a great group of people with different life experience to mine. It was good for them to get away from the water for a while and just relax and great for me to sit back and enjoy other peoples observations on life and their take on things.

Next time Im available, i will put the call out again and hopefully more can join in ............

We had a wonderful time enjoying every second of Mr. Weavis' hospitality and getting to know Prairie Chicken and Mr. Prairie Chicken. Great food... excellent company. The restaurant is awesome! 'Can't wait to do it again, hopefully... in just a couple of weeks.

Salty, you would be the most welcome guest at ANY of our meets. Same for boaty and Atoll.......

It WILL happen one day ....... we just need to keep it in mind.

When I get this work thing out the way....... and return to the Island, I will definitely arrange to meet up with the guys again, either at Roscio or somewhere closer to their mooring........ the Island is small and we can get around pretty much anywhere in an hour......

Solid people Salty......

re: The Mallorca Squad

First off, thank you Weavis for your hospitality. The restaurant was awesome, the tapas & fish excellent, & the company great!

The beer, wine, & Hierbas--would Paco call that Hierbas?--were also pretty darn good.

It was lovely to meet Mr. & Mrs. Kenomac & Weavis & to make new friends. Kenomac, it sounds like the wind will be blowing right in there Sunday so we may come over later in the week. Will keep in touch.

Hasta luego!

De nada.

Flew out this morning to Zaragoza. So far from the sea Im not sure I can survive the few days of teaching I have to do.

Paco sends his regards to all of you and commented that it was a pleasure to cook for such appreciative and nice "Americans" who like Spanish food. I hosted an event last year for a youth group from Florida and all he cooked was Hamburgers...... they were not into trying foreign cuisine.
Lucia the waitress said this morning as I left "when you come and bring nice people, it is so much fun to work here".

It WAS fun..... and if we can, we should do it again. I want to catch up on some of the stuff we talked about and see resolution to a couple of the 'waiting' moments in the guys lives........

I had a blast. Such talented people who all enjoy the same lifestyle. Thank you so much.
