On the plus side of my sail area where the flies tend to be: was out there last weekend and there was a butterfly (does that count as a fly). I never saw it land on the boat, but saw it (or its' twin) a couple of times during the day as I tracked back and forth. Later in the same day a finch landed on the boat life line. It must have been prwtty tried as it fluffed itself up and seemed to take a nap. Too bad that I had to tack later and jibbed it away.

The regular flies did show up later, but they seemed more tried and slower than normal and so didn't fair too well in the battle.
