I'm not a fan of cute boat names - always consider what you sound like announcing your boat name on the radio...

One that I found ingenious was AFTICA - Another F.... Toy I Can't Afford

The SV Ulysses is mine. Named of course after the voyager from the The Odyssey who sails all over the world and gets into all kinds of trouble.

I certainly don't plan on leaving my wife at home while doing so though!

In my previous marina I was docked next to a boat named "Cock-a-Saurus-Rex"

I am sure he was a paleontologist named Rex who studied pre-historic chickens...

My wife didn't care for the name, it didn't help that the front of the guys truck had a plate that said "F*** that Ho!"

I thought of it more of a testament to individuality myself.

I doubt that even the state of Louisiana would issue such a plate. Oh right, La. doesn't require a front plate.
