Attn: SF Bay Area Sailors - Anyone Know Les Bittney?

I own a 1961 fiberglass 29ft. sailboat designed by S&S, and built in San Francisco by a fellow named Les Bittney . I'm not sure of the spelling. He was previously in the lumber business before commissioning S&S to design this boat. He built three. Mine is #3 and sailed out of S. Cal with the original owner, a Mr. Robert Young from Los Angeles. The name of the boat was and is TANGAROA.
Anyway, I know a lot of the history, but nothing about Les Bittney (or Robert Young for that matter).
Does anyone out there know either of these men?

Don't know anything about the builder but there was Robert Young the actor (Father Know's Best)?

Thanks Skipmac, but wrong Robert Young. The Robert Young who originally owned TANGAROA worked for Wilbur Ellis Co. Like I said, I know a fair amount about the history of the boat, but nothing about Les Bittney or Mr. Young.
I'm working on something and would like make this connection somehow.
Thank you for replying though.

Thanks Charlie. I sent Lat 38 a note some time ago. No reply. This was a long time ago, so I was just taking a stab at it. I'll keep trying.

Re: Attn: SF Bay Area Sailors - Anyone Know Les Bittney?

Hello; This is rather late but I can tell you a bit more about Robert (Bob)Young. I am currently writing a biography about Mr. George M. Taggart. Bob Young and Taggart were close friends. Taggart was US Navy during WWII. He spent much time on Saipan working to restore the local skipjack/bonito tuna fishing fleet. He was assisted by Bob Young (USN), and others, including my father, Robert B. Sheeks (USMCR). I have built websites for both Taggart and my father. Bob Young went on to work for Wilbur-Ellis after the war. Taggart went on to work for the TTPI. Taggart retired in 1966 and moved to St. Croix, where he passed away from stomach cancer in 1967. Bob had learned of Taggart's illness and offered to send his private plane to airlift Taggart to the Mayo Clinic in the States for treatment, but his condition had spread so far, it was hopeless. Bob was a great admirer of Taggart, tried to save his life, but time had run out.
