+2 on Anacortes, one of my favorite little towns up here for sure. Close to the San Juan's and Canada too. Small town feel, everything available, great pubs, very boating oriented. And you can get a lot of Crab with your dingy!

I just read on the Anacortes website that they have liveaboard spots open now. That's rare for WA.
