Favourite modification or renovation

Apart from the occasional note I don't recall ever seeing a thread which discusses a cruisers favourite modification which they have found particularly handy or useful.

I would be intereted in hearing other peoples thoughts and experiences before I start drilling into the bulkheads for a project that sounded good on paper but not so good in practise.

I have a Bavaria with European 240V recessed power outlets in Asia which uses mostly 2 pin flat and round plugs but will eventually take the boat back to Oz where everything is 3 pin flat and angled.

My solution at the moment is to have a power board with universal sockets on an extension lead with a european plug. Not a very tidy, safe or convenient solution.

Any other ideas for this or other mods.
