Our daughters were rising sophomores when we set out last year, so Calvert was not an option. We looked at Oak Meadow and then decided on the Keystone School
. Not sure whether it is Keystone, or homeschooling in general, but we are headed home early after a year. Keystone requires a lot of on-line work, which meant we were tied to more developed anchorages
to get wifi
. We also found that schoolwork was requiring 6-8 hr/day, 6 days a week and we weren't keeping up.
Other cruisers with kids
seemed not to have this problem, but they did not have High Schoolers. Also, they all homeschooled before they left. I strongly recommend it. You and the kids
get the chance to work out the bugs and get use to the homeschool thing.
Good luck! We've loved our trip!
