Our daughters were rising sophomores when we set out last year, so Calvert was not an option. We looked at Oak Meadow and then decided on the Keystone
School. Not sure whether it is Keystone, or homeschooling in general, but we are headed home early after a year. Keystone requires a lot of on-line
work, which meant we were tied to more developed
anchorages to get
wifi. We also found that schoolwork was requiring 6-8 hr/day, 6 days a week and we weren't keeping up.
Other cruisers with
kids seemed not to have this problem, but they did not have High Schoolers. Also, they all homeschooled before they left. I strongly recommend it. You and the
kids get the chance to
work out the bugs and get use to the homeschool thing.
Good luck! We've loved our trip!
