Re: Why I Changed the Name of My Boat

Why I Changed the Name of My Boat

Never thought about a paint gun.
A couple of weekends ago I had some ass in a big sport fisherman cut across my bow when I was on the right side of the channel under sail. He was just off plane and rolling as big a wake as he could. If I had a beer bottle I could have hit him with it really he was no more than a half a boat length away.
I'm assuming if I got him with a paint gun that would still be assault wouldn't it?

Wrong thread somehow?

Re: Why I Changed the Name of My Boat

I decided NOT to change the name of my new to me CSY 37 to "OSHBAB, I would have to spell it to every bridge tender on the ICW. By the way for those women who want to know, OSHBAB stands for Oh SH-t, He Bought Another Boat.

Re: Why I Changed the Name of My Boat

Name seen on an Australian steelie: "Rumpledsteelskin".

Another name I liked was this one on a British circumnavigator: "Cheshire" ... with the idea of leaving smiles behind you, like the Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland.

Ann

PS: Kenomac, "Moonjelly?" Really? Bwhahahahaha! Good idea you had there.

Ya. Moonjelly. That's probably what they put in the Plan B pill.

Re: Why I Changed the Name of My Boat

There may be a jellyfish called the "moon" jelly, I'm not sure. But still, for a boat name? Tee hee!

Lots of Moon~ names in the 90s and they're all dated. One friend had a 40'er called Moonwalker (he renamed), and I've also seen a ferro called Moonstone.

Ya. I remember when people were giving their kids Moon names. Remember Frank Zappa's kid, Moon Unit? What were we thinking?

I always thought Chastity Sun Bono was pretty funky. Poor kid never had a chance.

Re: Why I Changed the Name of My Boat

I'm a great fan of Jeff Lynne and ELO, so one day i intend to change the boat name to one of their songs : fortunately there is an excellent choice :

Mr Blue Sky
Strange Magic
Midnight Blue (boat has dark blue top sides)
Xanadu
Sangria la
Evil Woman

The list is considerable
