Re: Insurance for a new boater

I have a $500 K liability policy on my boat, which also includes over $800 K of environmental liability coverage. I don't know if my concern is justified, but I would be a lot more worried about our various governmental entities than I would be about damage to a private party. Totally out of control!! This policy covers the requirements of most marinas.

Re: Insurance for a new boater

If it were me I'd put 3rd party liability on it and that would be it. Hull insurance for a 30 year old steel boat is a waste of good money. Enjoy your new boat!
