Well, three weeks to launch and the timestarts to drag.

Connemara is a 27-foot Mirage sloop. We're at the Toronto Hydroplane and Sailing Club on Ashbridge's Bay (Just east of Toronto Harbour).

The Gold Coast mostly

Since we have a 22 foot sloop that we trailer all over, we've been able to enjoy a lot of nice Michigan sailing.

For the most part, we like to sail out of Muskegon. If the weather is mild, we can slip out onto Lake Michigan and do a little coastal cruising. If it's a little iffy, Muskegon Lake is a lot of fun to zip along in! A good combination.

We've also fallen in love with the Traverse City area. Last year we spent a week up in Elk Rapids. Had such a great time, we're gonna do it again this year!

Who knows? Maybe we'll bump into some of you this year. Look for the little 22 footer, First Step.

Fair winds,
Nick

Lake Michigan

We are in the western suburbs of Chicago and will harbor in Hammond, our first year in Lake Michigan with our own boat. We previously raced out of Monroe and Jackson Harbor in Chicago.

We are planning several trips up the lake, maybe as far as the North Channel.

Hey Bob, good to hear you're still getting out on the water.
Too bad there’s no coconuts nor mangos in the Apostles.
I'm helping a newbie on a delivery (Duluth to Thunder Bay) at the end of May. Will be my first time out, in nearly 8 years!

Hi Group :

Paul, Mary & Malibu (the sailing schnauzer) are from Windsor Ontario.

We sail aboard "Winpipe" (our Beneteau 361) & ply the waters of Lake St Clair & Western Lake Erie.

The Lake Erie Islands are by far our most favorite places to be knocking about in the summers, as we practice for our eventual departure to points south after we retire.

There's more at our website...

Sail out of Milwaukee on our Hunter 34 (Tursiops).

Bought last summer and sailed it home from Lake Erie. My son-in-law and I had a grand adventure. One we will never forget.

What a beautiful world we live in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Al :

1) Ambassador Bridge (Windsor)

2) Mackinac bridge

3) A sunset...likely over Lake Huron/Michigan as seen from out on the water

4) The view seen as you look north as you travel along the Detroit River south of the Ambassador Bridge.

You're good Paul.

About the only thing I can say is the twilight picture is looking back (south) from just north of Detroit. If I remember correctly, we were almost into Lake St. Clair.

The weather was terrible. See the huge waves we were fighting?

“Slingshot” (1985 C&C33) was launched by new owner (Rob: my son-in-law’s cousin) at Barkers Island (Duluth) this week.
We’re planing on delivering her to Thunder Bay this weekend (May 16...).
Probably a few weeks too early in the season (think cold).
My first sail, excepting a few day-jaunts, in nearly nine years. (For we elderly, time flies, even when we’re not having fun)

Hey Al :

To be fair...

Since Winpipe is berthed at Lakeview Park Marina in Windsor, we're up & down the Detroit River quite often...actually, the boat could likely make it home even if I fell asleep.

So that was 2 out of 3...the Mack Bridge was easy...& the sunset was the only one that was left to the imagination.

It's a nice area to cruise...so ya'll be sure to come back here someday !!
