Hello from the Great Lakes

Hi all,

I'm a new member but old visitor here as well. I've owned my Ted Brewer designed Union 32 for 22 trouble free years now, and I enjoy her as much today as the day I bought her. My wife and I sail primarily Lake Erie and Lake Huron with hope's of ranging further afield when we retire.

Just wanted to poke my head in and say hi!

Aloha Slow Shoes,
Welcome aboard!! As you've come to know this is a great forum and a place that comments will be heard and questions answered.
I've always liked Ted Brewer's designs.
Kind Regards,

Welcome Slow Shoes

Ahoy there! Welcome to the forum! I'm also in the Great Lakes, sail my Oday 27 out of Green Bay, WI.
Always great to see other sailors in the "big pond".
Already eager for next years sailing season in 2007!!!

Where's your home port?
Hope the winds of winter are calm and quick as we dream of warm weather and fair winds!!

Hi Mark,

My home port is in southern Mi. - we sail Lake Erie primarily. I'm already missing the summer sailing season, and it's only October. My boat is still in the water. My first haulout date was Oct. 13th (and a Friday at that). Wind was blowing 25 - 35mph out of the west and subsequently the water levels in the marina were very low. (I was on bottom). My new haulout date is Nov. 1st - hope the wind is calm because it's starting to get pretty chilly!
