Want To Buy: KBW10 Transmission

Just heard from my yanmar dealer that there is a 60 day wait time from the day you order a new KBW10 transmission. So I am in the market for a used one. Anyone out there have one or know where to find one. Thanks in anticipation. Peter

Ok, this is going to sound weird, but I *think* I have one. That is, I have the transmission from my old Lehman 4D50 that was replaced 6 years ago. It's been sitting in my basement ever since, and I think it's a 10. I'll be home on Sunday and can check. I'll also get you the ratios at that time.

A warning--nothing was done to it when it was removed, so seals are probably dried out, etc. It was working fine when removed--it was the engine that just got to be too much to maintain.

Doug, even if it is close, I may be able to rebuild a new one out of your one and mine so I would be VERY grateful if you could check for me. I just became a grandfather and I am itching to tuck my sailboat away so I can visit. Thanks so much. Peter

Doug you have a hurth 10 transmission and mine is a Kanzaki transmission and would require a special plate to be made. So thanks a lot anyway. Peter

Yeah, I woke up this morning and HBW10 not KBW10 came to mind. Sorry to get you excited!
