Insurance recommendation Canadian headed south

Hoping to head south this fall from Cape Breton to Florida /Bahamas and shopping for insurance. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, David

I use Aviva, and have found them to be excellent to work with, and fairly priced. Buddy of mine went south last year, and was also insured with them. I'm in Ontario, so not sure if they operate in Nova Scotia, but I believe they operate nationally.

We use skippers plan (under written by aviva). Our first year we used dolphin insurance from Vancouver. Unfortunately their under writer (lloyds) backed out of the area.
Aviva was the only option left that we could find. Fortunately they have been good to deal with
We live in alberta and have been mostly saiIng Florida and bahamas for the last 3 years. This year we are planning carribean. All covered, except Cuba and haiti

I have used Skippers Plan under Aviva for coverage in the Great Lakes, Eastern US seaboard and the Bahamas with no issues. They may be your only option.

To those on the Skippers Plan, what percent is your premium compared to hull value?

Last year for "option 2" 100 miles from shore, and Bahamas coverage was around 2%
This year "option 3" 200 miles from shore and Carribean coverage is roughly 3%
