Want To Buy: Autohelm ST3000 control box

Looking for a functioning control head for ST3000 autopilot. Ours bit the dust.

Does your old existing one do anything, like turning one way only or very weak. If so it can probably be repaired. Normally it's the darlinton power transistors (2 NPN and 2 PNP) that die on the old 3000's.

Thanks very much. We had heard that ST4000 may be compatible. The 3000 is making a high pitch noise, but otherwise not doing anything at all.

Ah, the high pitch buzzer is the off course alarm, so the processor works which is a good sign. More then likely repairable for $15 in parts, a desoldering and soldering iron and a few hours time.



Even Blondes can do that. Well if they are an engineer anyway.
