2 21 hp diesels

2 Nanni 3.1 engines. Nanni is a French Italian company that marinizes Kubota diesels, very similar to Beta engines. 3.1 is a 3 cylinder 21hp Kubota. Both have about 1,000 hours. One is in good shape and runs well. The other had an oil-electrical Fire, and now has a $5k quote to overhaul. Also available are 2 saildrives, ZF SD10s. One in good shape and one that needs new shaft seals. I have a collection of spare parts, including the shaft seals.
These are coming out of a 47’ cat that is repowering. Cheap to a good home.

Re: 2 21 hp diesels

Sorry to hear you had luck with the fire.
Just curious, what are you repowering with & what sold you on the new choice?
If you are interested please post your impressions of the new engines.
Would like one of your nannis but you are a bit far away

Re: 2 21 hp diesels

You guessed right, the Nanni engines are in Ventura California.
Beta was my first choice, but no dealer nearby, and I’m looking forward to warranty service. I went with Yanmar, because the dealer is in my harbor and has my favorite mechanic. They will arrive and be installed in the next couple months I hope. My wife informs me these new engines are all my Christmas gifts for the next decade at least.

“Cheap” is a subjective term that is in the eye of the spender. If you’d like to discuss in the context of these engines, let’s take it offline. I’m bill@gibbsvineyards.com.

Which specific model Yanmar are you installing?
Yes can see your reason considering a favourite mechanic in the equation if you dont do mechanical work, not to mention the warranty consideration.

I do filter and belt changes, but that’s about it.

Bill, I just now found this thread, and I've got to tell you that forum rules require that every item listed for sale must have a price and a location in the ad.

So, please add these details ASAP or we will be forced to remove the ad.

For the mod team,

Jim

is there a way to edit the original post? Can I add the info to a comment? Or do I start over?
Sorry for violating guidelines

It's ok to simply add an additional post with the required info, Bill.

And don't worry, you are far from the first person to not notice that rule!

The two 3.1 Nanni engines and ZF SD10 saildrives are located in Ventura, California.
The asking price for these and spare parts is $4,500
