My thought was that one might be interested in the failed one for
parts, but I am open. The one that failed according to
Volvo was due to an
exhaust set up that applied excessive back pressure eventually causing blow by. I saw the dissesembled
engine and the blow by was definately there. The other good
engine had a different
exhaust routing. I had them check the
compression and it was excellent. In addition the 'good' engine always ran better and started easily. If no one buys it I will probably buy an engineless
boat at some point and install it. I also have both saildrives in very good condition. I had to buy new ones to get a longer warranty on the engines. If you want to know more I can give you the name and number of the Volvo
mechanic.
