Re: 10-foot Lightweight Gangway (Ft. Lauderdale)

A folding aluminum ladder with an aluminum sheet on one side of the ladder that folds.

I went with a swim platform. Cut it lengthwise put brackets on each side for support railing. I use the Davit crane to lower and bring back on board.

Not that light but not much is light that is sturdy.

Good luck

I'd look for a used diving boards through pool supply companies. They are made with plywood cores and pretty thick fiberglass. Plus, they already have anti-slip applied. When supported from the boats end and dock, should be very solid.

Thanks Bassears, I like the idea. It might work to disembark my two pooches.

This is the ramp I used:

There are other manufacturers and this company also makes other sizes.

Re: 10-foot Lightweight Gangway (Ft. Lauderdale)

I have a telescoping two part passerell that came with my catamaran when I purchased it a couple of years ago. It just stays strapped to the deck and I have only used it once. Would have to measure it, but it is about 6'-7' length telescoped in. I would probably consider selling it in light of how little I have used it. Located in Ft. Pierce Fl.

Hi,

if the OP doesn't take you up on your offer, I'd very much like some more details?

I have a telescoping aluminum passerelle that came with my catamaran that I have used once since 2014 purchase. In light of that I would consider selling if interested. Have to measure but probably is 11'-12' extended.

I'm standing by until the OP has replied.
