WHAT are the chances?

On our most recent voyage, we happened in to a marina in Fort Walton FL, and were allowed to use the berth as guests of a slip customer who was away from his paid slip. The next boat to ours had the SAME NAME! Of all the world, we believe that our two boats at present are the ONLY two named "Off The Grid" and we were docked 30' apart. The other boat owners apparently had theirs named first, and found ours when they did the name search on documenting their vessel. Small world... (but as Stephen Wright says, "I wouldn't want to paint it!")

This made me wonder... (point of this post really) is there some sort of name registry, online searchable database, of boat names and owners? If not, would people register if there was? I have tons of space on our website, or would this forum be able to do it?
