OUT THERE - A film about the 2009 OSTAR race

OUT THERE - A film about the 2009 Original Singlehanded Transatlantic race has been released on DVD.

A unique insight in the thoughts, preparations, worries of 31 skippers who on May 2009 sailed singlehanded from Plymouth UK to Newport RI.

It's been over 30 years since the last documentary of this kind was produced by American competitor in the race Phil Weld, with the title "Atlantic challenge".

"Out there" brings a mix of ocean sailing images and interviews with the skippers before and after the race (you can tell by the length of their beards), an insight into the motivations, risks, and emotions of these sailors who took part in what is undoubtedly one of the most iconic of ocean races, since its first edition in 1960. The documentary includes an exclusive interview with Val Howells who competed in the first race.

You can view the trailer and order the DVD online at www.jamorph.com
