Marinas in Puerto Vallarta

Marinas in Puerto Vallarta - we are looking at staying in Paradise Village Marina while we are there (ton of great amenities.) We have some friends though who LOVE Marina Riviera Nayarit. The pricing is about the same but it looks like Nayarit does not have the amenities that Paradise Village does.

Anyone have any experience with either? Just wanted to check first before we sign up for one versus the other.

marina la cruz( marina riviera nyarit) is very very close to a lovely lil town that has just about everything. bucerias is very close. it is not a major tourist trap. there is a doctor, a dentist, a few stores...all within 3-4 blocks of the marina.
look up la cruz de huanacaxtle, nayrit, mexico.

Re: Marinas in Puerto Vallarta

red--i was recently advised by the manager that there arent going to be work docks rates anymore--that was 50 cents us per foot per day, and no more special rates----i amnot certain what his rate is going to be -- for me, the fees here were worth my ability to access town easily. here in la cruz, there is easy access to baby stuff, if you need emergency foods or diapers or whatnots for baby--is all here. is a good family oriented place.

what i saw of paradise village is more adult oriented and more high dollars touristy oriented-- paradise village and nuevo vallarta, are located not too far from pv immigration, for fm3 renewal.

Re: Marinas in Puerto Vallarta

Seriously nice to hear this. Just got an email from some friends and they are telling me the same as you.

One thing I was worried about is that I'll be 8 months pregnant when we arrive and I don't want to be too far from a hospital should I go into labor and things progress too quickly.

Thanks for all the feedback.

there are many taxis and a hospital in bucerias--many taxis at the marina entrance..there is a guard shack with humans inside -- they will get what is needed fast.
they monitor vhf channel 16.
