HELP Need info on marina with long term secure parking

Does anyone know of a marina in north Florida that offers safe and secure long term parking accomodations for our truck and trailor after launching our boat. We are in need of these accomodations for at least 6 weeks, as we are planning a sail to the Bahamas. Any information would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you.

Green Cove Spring Marina can offer that.
Just google them up..... Located on the St. Johns river, near Jacksonville, Orange Park, and St. Augustine.

I can also recommend Green Cove. It's been a few years since I was there, but very nice people were running the place back then.

Also, I noticed that you have a Flicka. I hope you don't hit a reef in the Bahamas, because they don't take too kindly to massive damage of marine environments!

Awesome boat. Best wishes to you and all your voyages.

If you want to be a bit further south you might try Harbortown Marina. We are in Harbortown South and have been up north as well. Nice people to deal with and north is exceptionally secure during any weather.

Re: HELP Need info on marina with long term secure parking

Probably all good suggestions, but I have to say that I have never seen a marina with what I would call "secure" parking. Of course, I used to work in the security field, so I have some pretty well set opinions about what is required to make a place secure.

When it comes to marinas, there usually isn't even a fence around the parking area. If there is it probably isn't locked. If it ever does get locked I have NEVER seen one that had any sort of regular patrol. So, bottom line, I sure wouldn't leave anything valuable in the vehicles.

Good luck.

You just described Hidden Harbor Marina, St Augustine. Good fence and locked gate
