Dania Cutoff Marina choices

I'm thinking the cutoff area closest to the ICW would meet my wet slip needs. I found 2 marinas closest to the ICW - Harbour Towne and Port Royale Yacht Harbor yet I notice Harbour Towne is more than twice as expensive as Port Royale Yacht Harbor, though it's not a private club. Any local knowledgeables out there who might help me understand the fee logic? Thanks,Seabub

I had a boat at Harbour Towne on the Dania Cut Off Canal for more than a year. Harbour Towne is a secure marina with guards. It's very modern with good facilities for the liveaboard. The staff is friendly and helpful. But it is expensive.

The other mentioned marina is less secure and more run down. I know people who have lived there, and they confirm that security is an issue.
