Small Dog Life Jacket

As we prepare for our 3 year cruise, we are getting the 2 dogs ready for the sail. We spent last summer getting the dachshund used to sailing and found we needed to get him a neoprene life jacket so his short little legs had more agility. Now we have added a 3 legged chihuahua to the plan, she is missing a back leg from a previous owners abuse. My problem is she weighs 7 lbs and the X-small jackets still seem too big for her. Is anyone else sailing with a dog less than 8lbs and what life jacket do you recommend? I don't want to get a jacket that is a little too big so she has a chance of slipping out of it when I need to grab her in an emergency.

We use an "Outward Hound" life jacket that fits our 9 lb. Chihuahua perfectly. Handle on back can be used to lift dog (like a suitcase). Great for boarding and retrieving from swimming. Size is extra-small. No chance of dog slipping out.
