Submarine - may- display.....ACV -shall- display.
The submarine flashing yellow is 3 1sec flashes followed by 3sec off.

Colregs Rule 21 (d) "Towing light" means a yellow light having the same characteristics as the "sternlight" defined in paragraph (c) of this Rule.
