Smev Stove Problems

I need to repair the burners on my smev stove (3 burner, oven and grill, 4-5 yrs old) - corroded underneath - having trouble finding anyone that supplies spare parts in sydney - the companies website is useless. Anyone had any joy repairing these?

Re: Smev Stove Problems

try Caravan Accessories | Shop Online CaravansPlus
Alternatively, Whitworths chandlery (branches nationwide) stock SMEV stoves and will probably be able to order in any spares

Re: Smev Stove Problems

Hi Charliehows,
I have recently ordered and received a new flame failure thingy for one of my SMEV burners from my local chandlery (Tamar Marine Launceston) with no problems. A visit to a Smev stockist locally should sort it out for you, if not Tamar Marine do mail order. A problem which you may have is rusting of the top burner plate which is not stainless. I am considering replacing all three of mine with stainless discs. So didn't bother ordering new ones as it is poor design supplying steel discs on a boat stove anyway.
Good luck with it
Wayno
