Shipmate Stove looking to buy spare parts

Hi,

I have a shippmate stove on a Colin Archer and I'm looking for new parts to replace the propane gas valves, but unfortunately I don't know where to get them, because Shipmate went out of business a couple of years ago.

There is also no answer when emailing or calling the number from ShipMate Stove Company Inc. - your source for classic solid fuel boat stoves, heaters and sinks.

Does anyone have the same problem or could recomend a store etc. where I can get parts for it? The Valves were made by Robertshaw, and the model number is 5815G.

Many thanks in advance!

Re: Shipmate Stove looking to buy spare parts

Is the model number 5815g the stove or the valve number.

Re: Shipmate Stove looking to buy spare parts

Hi there!

thank you for answering to my tread.

I have misread the model number. It is actually a S815G.

Please find the original documents attatched.

Do you have a general idea about purchasing parts for shipmate stoves? Are they still being made or do you have to get used parts?

Many thanks!

Martin

Re: Shipmate Stove looking to buy spare parts

Hi there. Welcome to the forum .
I have a Shipmate stove as well, a three burner with oven model., mine is all working , knock on wood . I think you can source the parts you need from any gas guy they used all Robertshaw components as far as i know . So if you take your broken part to a someone that carries Robert Shaw products you may be in luck .

I was really thinking about updating my stove but it works just fine so why fix what ain't broke .
Good luck , keep us posted

Regards

I am also looking for parts for the same stove I will scope out vendors of Robert Shaw parts as well. Any leads in this regards would also be appreciated.

Specifically looking for the knob and bleedscrew that feeds the burner.

Thanks

Robertshaw/gas fittings track to Grainger in the USA and Acklands Grainger in Canada.
they are and industrial supply house.

Re: Shipmate Stove looking to buy spare parts

Hi Guys,

after some research I have come to this conclusion:

My shipmate stove model nr. 5815G is not being produced anymore.(they don't answer their for or emails).
However most parts are still being made by Robertshaw.(the company that makes gas valves and other parts).
The parts of my oven I'm going to replace are: 1720-801 Magnetic Head Kit and the TS11J safety valve. (someone from robertshaw identified the old parts on my photos)
I was told by Robertshaw that the termostate is obsolete and is not being produced any more.

The other parts can be purchased by Grainger or similar onlineshops that ship to the US.
Grainger does not export so in my case the forwarder in Europe (Germany) is called Universal Procurement.

You may also try Dvorson's Food Service Equipment and Appliances - Home of the Best Kitchen Equipment in the World. | Home | Marin Restaurant Supply. They can export.

Many regards,

Martin
