Shipmate Stove Parts

I got a new safety control valve for my 1981 Shipmate two-burner stove from Gearbusters on eBay but now I need an oven control valve. Gearbusters doesn't list one. Any ideas out there?

Thanks,

Cam

Gearbusters doesn't list every part in stock. John, the stove guru behind Gearbusters is a good fellow and a wealth of knowledge. Send an email via eBay to him. He is a bit laid back and may take a while, but he'll get to you.

With his help, I cleaned and adjusted my Shipmate. No parts required. I'll reinstall it in the boat ... And sell my new still-in-the-box Force 10.

If anyone is still monitoring this thread would they know how to track down John at Gearbusters? His ebay page seems to be gone! Any info would be much appreciated, I am still tracking down parts and anything I can find on my shipmate 4 burner gimballed stove. THanks!

Re: Shipmate Stove Parts

Sorry, can't help you with Gearbusters but I can suggest a good place to ask about Shipmate stove parts. That's on Facebook group "Gulfstar Owners Association". It's a very active group and most Gulfstars had Shipmate stoves. If you don't want to go on Facebook, let me know and I'll ask for you--

I have a pressurised kerosene stove and cabin heater. I am in need of one of their burner bases. One of mine is stripped. I don't do facebook. If you could inquire, it would be appreciated.

Re: Shipmate Stove Parts

I'd be glad to but it would help to know the brands/models of your stove and heater.

Re: Shipmate Stove Parts

Thanks. The cabin heater is a 701CH and the stove has no mdl number I can find. The two pick are the stove, which works great and the burner base I need. If I can't find one, I may have to make it.
