Seed of an Idea

German scientists have taken their inspiration for a more effective and environmentally-friendly artificial hull surface from palm seeds. The objective is to replace current anti-fouling paints that are toxic to the environment and to eliminate drag the paints can create. Certain varieties of palm seed float thousands of miles over very long periods of time without attracting the marine organisms that can foul the typical ship's hull.

Here's a link to the full story: Seeds inspire new artificial anti-fouling surface

I like the German scientist better than Japanese that want you to eat recycled $hit.

That looks interesting, although the new paints are a lot less toxic than the paint we used on the 60's, 70's.
Any improvement that helps the environment is okay by me..
