Re: SeaHawk Bottom Paint - **CKS!

I had my paint shook just prior to putting it on. The paint performance sucks.

Re: SeaHawk Bottom Paint - **CKS!

I'll just throw in my 2 cents, since I am also on a mooring in Boot Key Harbor and have been for the last two and a half months.

I had my bottom painted at Snead Island Boat Works in August 2019. They applied Seahawk Cukote. I made my way down the west coast of Florida and have been here since Oct 29th. Got in the water to clean the bottom in Nov. Was surprised at the growth, (almost three months), but most of it was algae and came right off with a soft brush. So far, most growth has sloughed right off with a soft brush. I will be getting back in the water in the next few weeks to do a thorough cleaning and will report back what I see.

Posted elsewhere but I'll leave it here as well.

Re: SeaHawk Bottom Paint - **CKS!

That is NASTY. I had that once with Petite Trinidad. One week after splashing I had to pull for a through hull. That’s what mine looked like. Petite blamed it on me but gave each of 12 of us at the yard a free” gallon of paint. WOW less than the haul out

From what I’m seeing, it’s a crap shoot. Mistakes happen but fess up to it.
