Just curious and I'm guessing the answer is LOL NOPE LOL but I figured I'd ask anyhow.

Is there any sites out there with free plans for a bluewater capable cruiser? I really want to look at a set of plans just to get a better understanding on the structure (understanding that it varies from craft to craft). But, I don't want to pay the $500+ just to learn how they are built and never use the plans.

Are plans able to be resold? Is there a legit market for buying a set of plans and then just reselling them without actually building the boat?

Some Designers offer Study Plans....Benford Designs is one.

I have bought a few of them they are inexpensive.

Schionning offers study plans for some of his Wilderness cat designs that you can download free.

There are books out there on boat design. It may be better to look at what makes a good boat than to just look at one style.
