Repairing a rip in Boltaflex Settee

Boltaflex is an upholstery that feels like leather but is easier to clean and maintain. We have a rip in one cushion. Has anyone ever repaired Boltaflex? I am thinking superglue might work, but wanted to check and see if there are some better ideas.

Re: Repairing a rip in Boltaflex Settee

Doesn't superglue have a tendency to harden up? And leave nasty blotches on fabics? I would never ever use superglue on fabrics of any kind. Pattex, on the other hand, holds just as well, lasts forever, and stays flexible.

I can't see the hole very well, so can't see what repair you need to do. Is it like the plastic coating has delaminated from the bottom fabric?

I've never heard Of Pattex, but went to their products page and they have a leather adhesive; that' a good start...it says "especially formulated to bond and last. It can bond different types of leather, e.g. natural and artificial. The high-strength bonding formula is designed to dry without leaving whatsoever traces."

So thanks for the tip. Now, I just have to find it.
