Removing a large flexible bedded item without braking it

Is it on non skid or smooth gel coat. Fein tool and scraper blade works amazing on smooth surface. Cut time by 3/4 effort was nil and the surface looked great. Did 3 c&c windows in the time it took my partner to do one by hand.
Edit and BobConnie solution could be a perfect addition for those with pirate problems

Hmmm,

A couple of 6 inch bits of broom handle and a yard of piano wire constitute a tool useful to the mafia, as accurately reported in the "Godfather" movie years ago. It is called a garrote.

So, this device is suitable for keeping on a cruising yacht since it has more than one use. I should have one on board!
