Question Refrigeration

None of the threads answer this:
WHAT ARE YOU USING? Brands? Plates? Evaporators?
What is working well for you?
How big a box?
How well insulated?
How well supported by solar?

Re: Refrigeration

Custom Cool Blue with dual cold plates and a BD80 compressor.
Works fine, 30 yr old factory insulation, could be improved on.
1,000 W Solar, 14 cu ft box split 50/50 as a fridge/freezer as a spill over

Seafrost Bdf50, 2 plates, 13 years old? 7 cubic ft Stock fridge insulation works great,
Edgestar 63qt freezer, (bdf35 copy)
Waco 1.8 cubic ft day/ beer fridge (bdf35 compressor
750 watts of 48v solar, outback 800 controller
600 amps of cheap Trojan fla batteries, pretty good except after a really cloudy overcast day...
Complemented with a Honda eu2000,
Iota dls 30 w iq4 charger (so I can run charger and ac at the same time)
2 eng with 60 amp alts

Re: Refrigeration

One NovaKool R75MT, one NovaKool R2600. Both AC/DC. Both 16 years old. No solar onboard.
