Radar Mast - Mainship 36 Aft Cabin

I want to install radar. I have a Mainship 36 DC Aft Cabin. There is a bimini soft top on the Fly bridge with a hard top over the aft cabin.
I probably know what the answer will be but I’m asking anyway. Is there any way to put the radar dome up with a soft top on the Fly Bridge?
I am wanting to put some solar panels on the hard top and I already have a crane up there to cast shadows. I guess I will just have to live with it and the RADAR casting shadows.
If I have to use the Hard top over the sun deck, do you have any simple mounting arrangements that you have photos of? I am not at the boat now but the hard top is probably about 2 to 3 feet lower than the soft top so I have to get higher than that and it shouldl clear my head by about 2 feet or more when I’m sitting.

I dont think you really need to add a hard top, unless you want one. I would consider a custom made radar arch. The supports you have now for the canvas work are probably not rigid enough. You are going to need something with a good amount of strength to support the radar and the solar panels

David

My lower deck has a hard top. It is about 2 feet lower than the fly bridge.
Was trying to figure out a way to not have to use the lower deck hard top for RADAR, but I guess we will have to.
I dont want a radar arch, just some kind of mounting arrangement.
